Academics Overview
One school, many parts
St. Francis Catholic School is a Pre-K through 8th grade inter-parochial school, combining three distinct educational units: Early Education (Pre-K & Kindergarten), Elementary School(1st-5th), and Middle School (6th-8th). We are accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and COGNIA.
A positive educational experience is among the greatest gifts you can bestow upon your child. Selecting the right school, the one that will provide the positive experience your child deserves, is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child. Faith formation, quality academics, a nurturing community, extraordinary extracurricular activities and a disciplined environment are among the many benefits a St. Francis Catholic School education provides.

Student House competition
The middle school house system focuses on promoting school community, teamwork, and leadership. There are four houses, each named after a Saint. Students stay in their House throughout middle school. A faculty Housemaster, and two eighth grade captains, one boy and one girl, are assigned to individual Houses. Houses participate in competitions during the year to accrue points for the House Cup Trophy. The competitions are academic, athletic, and spiritual. Houses also participate in community service events.

The Middle School Leadership Academy was introduced in 2024/25. Once a week, students in grades 6th-8th participate in team building, learning, and growing in leadership skills; as well as engage in presentations by professionals in our community.

Testimonials
St. Francis was a great experience for me both academically and socially.
St. Francis was a great experience for me both academically and socially. I was able to excel in the classroom, participate in the SCISA Music Festival, and of course, create a lifelong bond with some really good friends.
When I entered high school at Hilton Head Island Christian Academy, I felt ready for whatever challenges were to be thrown my way. High school was a great experience for me, not only because of the foundation that was built at St. Francis, but because of the often occurrences of running into faculty at church or around town, and hear their still uplifting messages. Because of St. Francis, I was prepared to maintain a strong GPA throughout high school and also become the senior ambassador for our student leadership program.
I am now a junior at Clemson University pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and every week I am reminded of what a great experience I had at St. Francis. Whether it is keeping a good foundation for my faith, succeeding in the classroom, or being able to benefit socially by creating new bonds and cherishing old ones, and I'm very grateful for my time at St. Francis... GO TIGERS and GO WOLVES!
My classes at SFCS, especially English, gave me the resources to get all A's in my high school honors/AP classes, while being able to participate in clubs and musical studies.
St. Francis Catholic School helped me become the person I am today. The service-oriented teachings of St. Francis helped me in selecting my future career by showing me the importance of using one's talents to help others.
My classes at SFCS, especially English, gave me the resources to get all A's in my high school honors/AP classes, while being able to participate in clubs and musical studies. My first saxophone was one chosen from the St. Francis music room! The encouragement I received from my teachers helped me pursue my passion for music and major in Music Therapy at the University of Miami.
St. Francis was a crucial part of my upbringing and it is through this school that I have become the educated and faith-filled person that I am today.
Throughout my ten years at St. Francis Catholic School, I have learned the importance of self-discipline, hard work, and integrity. I use these aspects today in my life, as I diligently strive for a successful future. I also developed my moral compass within these years, while celebrating many of my sacraments in the Catholic Church and gaining friendships that will continue on to survive the obstacles of high school. St. Francis was a crucial part of my upbringing and it is through this school that I have become the educated and faith-filled person that I am today.
Saint Francis sent me to high school with great academic framework
Attending Saint Francis for all ten years from pre K to 8th grade had a significant positive influence on my life. It has a supportive environment that fosters a sense of community and belonging. The smaller class sizes helped me build stronger relationships with my classmates and teachers that gave me the encouragement to excel academically and personally. The faith based education gave me a strong moral structure that continues to influence my decisions and actions. Saint Francis sent me to high school with great academic framework as well as great values such as respect, responsibility, and a love for the Lord.
Makenna graduated St Francis in 2019 and is a Sophomore at Rider University. She has a double major Elementary Education/Psychology.
